Business Consultant

We’re seeking a Financial Business Analyst to join our Customer Success team and bridge the gap between financial expertise, client needs, and our product development.

As a Financial Business Analyst, you will serve as the financial domain expert, guiding clients in the hospitality industry on best practices and solutions. You will collaborate closely with clients (SaaS users including Financials), product development teams, and customer success consultants to ensure that our Maxxton Software platform meets the complex financial and operational needs of the industry. Your role involves providing actionable insights, advising during implementation projects, and aligning product features with financial regulations.

What you’ll do as financial domain expert for a SaaS-company

Act as the primary financial domain expert for clients in the hospitality industry and propose SaaS-driven best practices to improve their operational efficiency and financial accuracy;
Partner with product development teams to provide input on financial features and ensure the platform addresses industry-specific needs;
Translate financial requirements into user stories and product enhancements, especially where others are stuck to meet the financial or legal requirements of the business in the software;
Creatively find the possible solutions for complex business problems with a financial origin;
Analyse the cause of an issue and/or the actual needs of the business, which often lies not there where the problem has revealed itself;
Signalize what is wrong, what can be improved or what might have consequences when not looked into from a financial business perspective;
Consult stakeholders internally and externally on the direction to take and how to get there during implementations;
Develop process descriptions, process flows or reports that will bring clients forward and will make their work easier to handle and deliver better financial understanding and insights.

Characteristics of our colleague in the role of Financial Business Analyst

Bachelor or University degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
Relevant 3+ years of work experience in an accountancy or finance role
Consultancy work experience in Accounting and affinity with IT / software could be a preference
Analytical and problem solving skills
A keen eye combined with pragmatism
Hands-on, no-nonsense mentality
Fluent in Dutch and English verbally and written
